What Causes the Tyre Pressure to Drop?

Always ensure that your tires have the correct air pressure to avoid any kind of accident or to stop the uneven wear to your tires. It is very important to maximize your safety on the road. Driving with under-inflated tires can increase the risk of the tire bursting or damaging your vehicle's suspension. Under-inflated tires are the most common reason which causes punctures to the tire.

Check your tires on regular basis and always fill your spare tires with two extra points of air as it is mostly unused in the back of your trunk. The reason for the air to leak is the changes in the temperature affects the tires and it is contracted in cool weather and in hot it expands. For example, if the temperature increases by 6 degrees the air pressure can be raised by 2% easily. This same goes with the decrease in the temperature.

As the tire gets older the bead is loosened and causes the air to leave through the rim of the vehicle. Always check your tire valve if that is faulty it can allow the air to escape easily.

If your tires are leaking air every day then your tires might have a slow puncture that is a very tiny puncture which results in the air leaving the tire and unbalances your vehicle. Get your slow punctures repaired as soon as possible as it could damage the tire permanently.

Your Tyres May be Dangerous to Drive

Always check your tires before hitting the road as they have direct contact with the road and anything wrong with them can cause an incident. Accidents happen in the blink so understand your vehicle and tires so you could have the maximum output from them. For your car tires, you will have various brands in the PCR tires category. Read the details below to ensure that you are driving with all the precautions.

Things to check before hitting the road

Always check that your tires are properly inflated to avoid premature wear and have a comfortable drive on the road. Check the tire air pressure every time you refuel your car. Check the driver side door for the suggested tire size and recommended tire pressure by the vehicle manufacturer and sometimes there is also a sticker inside the glove box for guidance.

Inspect your tires that they have an even wear and do not forget to rotate them every 10,000 km so they are balanced accordingly with the front ones and the back ones. On road, tire tread depth is very important and the minimum legal depth is 1.5mm also you can test it with a coin.

Remember never to drive on flat tires it is very dangerous and the tire could be damaged and it will not be repaired, if the sidewall of the tire is damaged. It should be repaired by an expert as soon as possible. It is recommended to use a spare tire in case of an emergency.

How Important is Servicing Your Car

Getting your car serviced is very important for its performance and safety. Without getting your car serviced you can face problems and can lead to a breakdown in the middle of your journey. Read the article below to find the ways and solutions.

Normally all the cars require service after 12,000 miles or once a year whichever is completed the first. A service light also appears on the speed-o-meter of the car. A service will enhance your driving experience and your vehicle would be able to perform at its maximum capacity. In full service, your car is fully washed from the inside and the outside. All the fluids are checked and refilled. A scanner is attached to the car to check any kinds of errors available in the car system. In safety features, seat belts, airbags, brakes and exterior lights are checked.

It is very crucial that your vehicle parts are not broken and the wiring is done properly because it can cause a short circuit and cause a fire in the engine room so be very careful.

The tire should be checked in the service as they have direct contact with the road and they should have a legal tread depth that is mentioned in the manual given by the tire manufacturer.

Tyre Factories Limiting Their Production

Shortage of tires may occur in the global markets because some of the plants are shut due to several reasons. Tire industry dynamics are now totally different as there are delays in shipment deliveries and now the shortage of tires.

The famous tire manufacturers have plants located in Ukraine and Russia and both are under European conflict. Most of the tire manufacturers have shut their manufacturing plants there and the load is converted to other factories to fulfil the demand. As factories in Russia are facing logistics problems as shipping lines have banned certain routes. Almost all the manufacturers have plants in Russia such as Continental, Michelin, Pirelli and Yokohama, etc.

While on the other hand with China entering into lockdown the factories are short-staffed and the labour cost is increasing at a rapid speed. Port operations are working at a slow pace and the world’s supply chain is disturbed again. This has resulted into decreased export of tires from China.

The famous Chinese tire manufacturer Hengfeng has stopped all its winter tire production from April 2022 because the initial raw material is delayed and the black carbon price has increased by 3%. The TBR and PCR production line is also reduced by half. It is also predicted that some more factories like Sailun and Triangle have limited their production. If the situation continues like this the global markets will have a huge shortage of tires as China is one of the major exporter of tires globally. Manage your stocks and import your tires shortly to avoid shortages.
